Fire Country and Sheriff Country confirmed for new crossover event as showrunner teases roller coaster

Hit US action dramas Fire Country and Sheriff Country are set to crossover for the second time, in a two-hour special which will air in the US on 6 November.

As revealed by Deadline, the first part of the crossover, a Sheriff Country episode called No Way In, will see a dangerous prison break escalating into a volatile hostage crisis, meaning Morena Baccarin's Sheriff Mickey Fox must make a high-stakes decision with personal consequences that could change the course of the case and put lives on the line.

The episode will see crossover appearances from Fire Country stars Max Thieriot, Kevin Alejandro, and Jules Latimer.

Meanwhile, it will be followed immediately by a Fire Country episode called No Way Out, the synopsis for which says: "When escaped convicts trigger a dangerous manhunt, Bode (Thieriot) and the Station 42 crew join forces with Sheriff Mickey Fox and her deputies to protect their loved ones and the community caught in the crossfire.

Sheriff Country stars Baccarin, while Matt Lauria, Michele Weaver, Amanda Arcuri and Ian Quinlan will all guest star.

While speaking with Deadline, Sheriff Country showrunner and executive producer Matt Lopez also teased what we can expect, saying that Baccarin's Micky and Alejandro's Manny will feature "very, very heavily".

He said: "There’s a situation that arises on the day of a spectacular windstorm and fire event. There are also escaped convicts on the loose. There are resources required both from 42 in the Fire Country Universe and from the ESCO (Edgewater County Sheriff’s Office) in the Sheriff Country Universe.

"There’s this real push and pull, and as leaders of these particular incidents, Mickey and Manny will have to figure out how to navigate this, and there are personal stakes involved. It’s a real sort of roller coaster episode. I think audiences will love it."

Sheriff Country has yet to start airing in the UK, with the first season of the spin-off arriving on Paramount+ later this month for the first time.

There have previously been reports that Jared Padalecki, who featured in three episodes of Fire Country in 2024, could also front another spin-off in the franchise, although that has not yet come to pass.

Fire Country season 5 and Sheriff Country season 2 will premiere in the US on 9 October on CBS. Fire Country seasons 1-4 are available to stream in the UK on NOW. Sheriff Country will stream on Paramount+ in the UK from 13 September 2026.
