STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. — On Monday, the Steuben County Public Health Department (SCPH) said it’s investigating two additional cases of measles in unvaccinated people. As of Monday, there are now a total of six measles cases in Steuben County.

The county’s health department was notified about the latest results on Saturday and Sunday. One infected person showed signs of the illness on Aug. 23, and the other on Friday. One infected person is isolating at home, and the other is no longer contagious after also isolating, according to the SCPH.
The health department said exposure sites have been found, and that other people who may have been in contact with the infected residents are being reached out to.
No other details will be released, the health department added.
