The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a formal complaint to Sky Sports for interviewing Imran Khan's sons during the break of the England vs Pakistan second Test match at Lord's. As part of their protest, PCB was reportedly threatened not to send their team on the ground after the break.
Sky Sports somehow managed the situation, and the Pakistan cricket team continued to play the match after the break. Sky Sports arranged the interview mainly because of Imran Khan's health. Imran is the World Cup-winning former Pakistan captain and the nation's former Prime Minister as well.

Previously, twice, a group of former cricketers wrote letters to the Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, appealing for medical treatment of Imran following recent developments. In the interview, Suleiman and Kasim Khan, sons of Imran, also expressed their concerns over their father's health.

According to media reports, twenty-two former international cricket captains have written a letter to Shehbaz Sharif, showing their concerns over the cricket legend's health. Michael Atherton, Alex Blackwell, Allan Border, Michael Brearley, Greg Chappell, Ian Chappell, Belinda Clark, Alastair Cook, Michael Gatting, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Lee Germon, Adam Gilchrist, David Gower, Kim Hughes, Nasser Hussain, Clive Lloyd, Arjuna Ranatunga, Andrew Strauss, Dilip Vengsarkar, Steve Waugh and John Wright signed the letter.
Pakistan government remained silent amid serious claims over Imran Khan's health
Previously, another letter was sent to the Pakistan government where 14 captains urged the Pakistan government to take care of Imran's health. The letter was sent in February. Pakistan government, however, did not issue any reply in response to the letter.
Last week, it was reported that the family of Imran Khan accused the Pakistan government of not taking care of Imran's health properly despite the court's order. Imran's lawyer and his sister claimed that he was slowly pushing towards death.
