Travelers hungry for an international getaway can soon fly United Airlines to 10 new international destinations, the airline announced this week.
United is meeting the needs of travelers looking for less-crowded destinations and those mixing visiting multiple cities in one trip by adding nonstop flights to 10 new cities across Europe and Asia — including eight that no other U.S. airline serves.
For Chicago travelers, the expansion will complement existing service from Newark, Washington Dulles, and San Francisco.
Starting as early as March 2027, travelers can fly the following new nonstop routes on United Airlines:
San Francisco to Okinawa, Japan Washington Dulles to Toulouse, France Newark to Luxembourg City, Luxembourg; Marseille, France; Ibiza, Spain; Valencia, Spain; Terceira, Portugal; Ljubljana, Slovenia; Olbia, Italy; and Catania, Italy“The creative and strategic way we’ve expanded our international network since the pandemic has made all the difference, not only for our customers and employees, but also as a way to differentiate United and build a brand focused on customers,” said Scott Kirby, CEO of United Airlines.
The international expansion is the airline’s largest yet, and in addition to the 10 new destinations, United is also adding new flights from Los Angeles to Osaka, Japan, from Washington, D.C. to Milan, Italy and from Denver to Paris.
