The remarks came during a phone call on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, between Abdelatty and Chadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdoulaye Saber Fadoul to discuss bilateral relations, cooperation tracks, and regional issues of mutual concern.
The ministers followed up on implementing the outcomes of the fourth session of the Egypt-Chad Joint Committee, including agreed cooperation projects, agreements and memoranda of understanding.
Both sides exchanged views on Sudan, with Abdelatty reaffirming Egypt’s steadfast support for Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity and national institutions while rejecting parallel entities.
