(CNN) — The principal owner of the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers was arrested on Sunday and accused of “engaging in prostitution” in Ohio, according to court documents obtained by CNN.
Jed York, who’s been with the team for nearly 20 years, became the chief executive officer in 2010.
According to the court documents, York pleaded no contest to the charges of disorderly conduct and possession of criminal tools after being detained in East Palestine. The documents state York paid $1,150 in fines associated with the charges and spent a night in jail.
CNN has reached out to the 49ers, the NFL and York’s legal team for comment.
