*Warning: Major spoilers ahead for Silo season 3 episode 7.*
As Silo season 3 nears its finale, we've finally been given the answer to one of the biggest questions of the entire series.
The Apple TV+ dystopia, which stars Rebecca Ferguson as engineer Juliette Nichols, follows the inhabitants of an underground silo who have no idea why they're there – or who put them there in the first place.
Well, in season 3 episode 7, it seems one of those questions has finally been answered. Enter Per Stensen (Colin Hanks).
The billionaire character was introduced this season as part of Daniel (Ashley Zukerman) and Helen's (Jessica Henwick) story.
Over the past few episodes, the pair have been seeking answers about what happened to Daniel's sister Charlotte (Jessica Brown Findlay), after her Iran mission ended in catastrophe.
As they got closer and closer to answers, the pair were abruptly kidnapped and whisked away in a self-driving car.
At the end of their journey, they're met by Senator Thurman (Laura Innes) and billionaire Stensen, who (after getting Daniel and Helen to sign an NDA), take them to the site of their mysterious project.

Daniel (who has a degree in architecture, which is about to become very important), immediately recognises that Stensen's digging a great big hole in the ground with a great big drill.
In other words, we're finally seeing the origins of the silo, and we finally know who was behind it – Per Stensen and Senator Thurman.
Just how humanity ended up in the silos is still to be confirmed (although fans of Hugh Howey's books will have some intel on that). But viewers will no doubt be delighted that answers are finally coming our way.
