SWAT teams surrounded a north suburban home on Friday and took a person who barricaded themself inside into custody, Lake County Sheriff’s Office said.
Around 3:45 p.m., aerial footage captured by NBC Chicago showed a large SWAT scene on Mill Court west of Ash Street in Waukegan.
The sheriff’s SWAT team responded to the scene to assist Waukegan police, authorities said. SWAT took a person into custody who was barricaded after allegedly committing an aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Several police vehicles and at least one armored truck could be seen on the block, video showed.
