The rest of the cast for BBC's new Hercule Poirot adaptation has now been confirmed, with a raft of familiar faces set to join Edward Bluemel in the upcoming series.
It was announced just a couple of months ago that My Lady Jane and Sex Education star Bluemel will be taking the lead in Hercule, being no stranger to Agatha Christie adaptations after his stint in Agatha Christie's Seven Dials.
Whilst we don't yet have character details, it's been unveiled that Henry Ashton (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), James D'Arcy (Oppenheimer), Calvin Demba (Supacell), Phil Dunning (Smoggie Queens) and Jack Gleeson (House of Guinness) will be joining Bluemel in Hercule.
Other confirmed cast members include Tamsin Greig (Riot Women), James Nesbitt (Run Away), Guy Remmers (The Buccaneers), Rebecca Rittenhouse (His & Hers) and Mawaan Rizwan (Juice).
Written by Benji Walters (Code of Silence), the new adaptation is set to chronicle the story of the world’s greatest detective and how he became it. Described as an "intimate study of Hercule Poirot the man and an epic portrait of Britain between the wars", the description continues: "The series will centre around three of Christie’s early stories, while also introducing Hercule Poirot to future friends and allies and one particular nemesis…"
We may not know who anybody will be starring as just yet, but with a stacked cast of notable names, we certainly can't wait to see how things unfold in this new iteration.
The original David Suchet series aired on ITV from 1989 to 2013, with Bluemel now joining the likes of Albert Finney, Sir Peter Ustinov, Sir Kenneth Branagh, John Malkovich, Alfred Molina and Peter Dinklage who have all taken on the role in various film, TV and audio versions.

"Edward Bluemel is an extremely talented performer and will make a great addition to the long line of actors that have played this celebrated character, aided and abetted by Benji Walters's thoughtful scripts. I cannot wait to see Edward on screen as Hercule Poirot."
There's no release date for the six-parter just yet, but we do know that filming is set to kick off soon, primarily in Liverpool.
Hercule will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
