High temperatures this weekend are well into the 90s for the coastal valleys, 100 to 110 degrees across the foothills, and the upper 80s and 90s in the mountain areas.
The high pressure system should begin to weaken on Sunday, allowing for a few degrees of cooling.
“With the hot weather this weekend, heat risk will be moderate to high, so please take proper precautions if going outdoors,” the NWS said. “Outdoor recreation is discouraged during the daytime!”
