5 Seconds of Summer Complete a ‘180 Flip’ With New Album ‘Everyone’s A Star!’: Stream It Now
In clips captured by Billboard from the first day of the Chicago festival on Thursday (July 30), bandmates Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin provide backup for the “Back to Friends” vocalist as he put his own vocal spin on “She Looks So Perfect,” 5SOS’ breakout 2014 hit that peaked at No. 24 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“Lollapalooza that was f–king crazy,” sombr wrote on his Instagram Story afterwards. “Chicago I love you.”
The band’s cameo during sombr’s set came just after 5SOS’ own time on the main stage. During the showcase, the quartet transformed Perry’s nostalgic smash “Teenage Dream” into a racing rock anthem. “You make me feel like I’m living a teenage dream, the way you turn me on,” Hemmings sang as a packed crowd looked on. “I can’t sleep, let’s run away and don’t ever look back.”

The pair of performances added to a successful first night of this year’s Lollapalooza, which closed with a headlining set from Lorde. The festival will last all weekend with a slate of performers including Tate McRae, Charli xcx, Olivia Dean, John Summit, JENNIE and more.
5SOS is fresh off the release of new album Everyone’s a Star!, which debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 — a chart the band has topped three times so far with albums 5 Seconds Of Summer (2014),Sounds Good Feels Good (2015) and Youngblood (2018).
