Folk legend Linda Perhacs has been found alive after being reported missing by close friends.
"She was found today. She's safe. We can't share where as it involves her HIPAA," the LAPD Missing Persons Unit told the Daily Mail on Wednesday, July 29.
The hopeful news comes just two days after her former manager Laurel Stearns, along with music video director Jessica Hundley, as well as musicians Julia Holter and Mark McNeill, pleaded with the public for help locating the artist.
"Linda Perhacs our dear friend and legendary singer-songwriter was discharged from a residential care facility approximately eight months ago under the supervision of her legal guardian," the group shared in a joint Instagram post on Monday. "Since then, friends and longtime collaborators have been unable to reach her and repeated attempts to contact her guardian have reportedly gone unanswered. Please help us locate Linda to ensure her wellbeing."

Perhacs had not been seen in eight months, despite numerous attempts from friends to "establish direct contact," Daily Mail reported.
"Repeated attempts to communicate with her guardian have also, they say, gone unanswered," a statement shared with Entertainment Weekly read.
Perhacs' storied career began after she was discovered while working as a dental hygienist in Los Angeles. She released her first album, Parallelograms, in 1970. However, it failed to garner attention.
Nearly three decades later, and under a new record label, she reimagined and re-released the album in 1998. Her second album, The Soul of All Natural Things, followed in 2014, and her third, I'm in Harmony, was released in 2017.
