Tony Award-winning actor Aaron Tveit has announced that he and his wife, Ericka Yang, are expecting their second child!
On Monday, July 27, the Broadway actor and his actress wife announced in an Instagram post that their family were growing. The Instagram post featured moments from their summer, including their daughter, whom they welcomed in November 2024.
“We’ve been having the best summer with our little one… and our littlest one on the way ??,” the Instagram caption read.
Tveit recently spoke to Todd Snyder about how being a father changed his work-life and affected how he prepared for a role. He has recently finished a stint in Chess and will soon reprise his role as Christian in Moulin Rouge!
"When I was single, work maybe took up a little too much of my life. Now I feel that there’s a bit of an escape, a bit more balance. I still work as hard as I ever did preparing for a role or a performance, but I can hold things a little looser. I’m also more focused at work because I want to be able to walk in the door at the end of the day and see my daughter smiling," he explained.

Tveit and Yang later reconnected in 2019 when they both appeared in Moulin Rouge! on Broadway. He starred as Christian while Yang was in the ensemble.
The couple made their relationship public on Instagram in May 2021, when he wished her a happy birthday. Their red carpet debut came in September the same year, when they appeared at the Tony Awards together.
Tveit gave Yang a shoutout during his Tony-winning speech, thanking her for her “love and support and always putting up with me.” The pair tied the knot on June 22, 2025, in New York City.
"[Our daughter] is the reason we decided to have a wedding,” Tveit told Vogue, per People. “We wanted to celebrate our love with our people.”
