As our Chicago Bulls remain relatively dormant following a week’s worth of interesting moves earlier in the offseason, the rest of the NBA continues to circle a dwindling supply of intriguing free agents.
Rookie free agent power forward-to-be Caleb Wilson may be drawing plenty of rave reviews already, but teammates Dailyn Swain and Noa Essengue struggled to make much of a dent in Las Vegas.
Here’s hoping that their play will prove to eventually be more successful in the pros than it was in Summer League.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, longtime San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder shooting coach Chip Engellund is finally being poached — by the Houston Rockets! Former one-time All-Star point guard D’Angelo Russell is now a fitfully helpful bench cog in certain circumstances. Currently with the non-contending Memphis Grizzlies, Kelly Iko of Yahoo Sports reveals that the two sides are eager for a divorce — be that by a trade or a waived contract. That’s right, the former lottery bust is looking to notch his first NBA action since the 2019-20 season. Selected with the No. 5 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic after a stellar run with Barcelona, the Croatian-born combo forward flamed out following brief stints with Orlando, the New York Knicks and the Portland Trail Blazers.
