US CentralCommand (CENTCOM) announced that its forces completed the latest round ofoperations at 10:30 p.m. Eastern Time on July 22, striking maritimecapabilities, missile and drone storage facilities, coastal surveillance sites,and air defense assets, describing the campaign as part of efforts to weakenIran’s ability to attack commercial shipping.
CENTCOMadded that American forces had struck dozens of Iranian military sites thismonth while maintaining a maritime blockade, redirecting nine commercialvessels and disabling another to prevent ships from entering or leaving Iranianports.
