General Hospital star Rory Gibson is soaking up the sun in Hawaii and gave fans a brief glimpse into his fun-filled vacation.
The beloved fan-favorite actor shared the moment on Instagram from his vacation on the tropical island of Kauai, Hawaii.
While in Hawaii, it's been revealed that Gibson married his longtime partner, Alicia Ruelas, in an intimate ceremony. The couple began dating back in high school and had been together since 2011. The two got engaged in Maui back in October 2022.
Alicia confirmed the wedding in a now-deleted Instagram Story where she wrote, “AAHHHH! OFFICIALLY MRS. GIBSON!”
Gibson took over the role of legacy character Michael Corinthos beginning in May of 2025, following the exit of Chad Duell, who had portrayed the part for nearly 15 years, from 2010 to 2025. Duell vacated the role following his father's death and wanted to step back from the constant machine of working on a soap opera.

While Gibson expected fans to be resistant to the change, especially given how long Duell had been in the role, he was greeted with a warm, inviting response, as fans and cast made him feel at home.
Now, a year later, Gibson’s character finds himself at the center of numerous storylines. His continued toxic relationship with the mother of his children, Willow Cain, takes a toll on him as she is currently embroiled in a cover-up scheme after shooting her husband, Senator Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), in the back and is actively poisoning him to keep him in a vegetative state. Michael is also enjoying his budding romantic relationship with Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell). With many twists and turns to come, fans will have to stay tuned to see how the storyline continues to play out.
