A new ranking from OpenTable has named the best hotel restaurants in the United States, and several Chicago eateries made the cut.
According to the website, which allows eaters to book restaurant reservations, check out reviews and more, four Chicago-area eateries made the top-100 hotel restaurants in the United States, with three in the city itself and another in nearby Rosemont.
One of the restaurants named on the ranking was Cabra, which is located in The Hoxton Chicago near the West Loop.
The restaurant, a Peruvian-inspired rooftop restaurant operated by iconic restaurateur Stephanie Izard, offers a diverse menu and beautiful views of the West Loop, according to its website.
Cindy’s Rooftop also made the cut, with the restaurant located atop the Chicago Athletic Association hotel in downtown. Located on the 13th floor, the restaurant offers sweeping views of Millennium Park and Lake Michigan, along with brunch, lunch and dinner menus.
Shanghai Terrace in The Peninsula Chicago also made the cut, and was praised for its variety of Chinese dishes, which blend traditional elements and creative interpretations.
Finally there was Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse, located inside of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago O’Hare Airport in suburban Rosemont. The steakhouse, naturally, serves the restaurant’s signature prime beef steaks, along with fresh fish and an extensive list of cocktails.
Up to 61% of Americans have chosen a destination because of its food or restaurant scene according to research from OpenTable.
