Widespread Talent Fills 2026 Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America Team

With defending national champion Montana State at the front, all 13 conferences, 53 schools and 101 players are represented on the 2026 Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America Team. 

Even with significant player movement across college football, the 2026 Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America Team is overflowing with talent.

    The preseason squad boasts 26 returning postseason All-Americans, including 10 from the first team. All 13 conferences and 53 schools are represented on the 101-player squad.

    Defending national champion Montana State leads the way with eight preseason All-America selections, including safety Caden Dowler and offensive lineman Titan Fleischmann back from the 2025 first team. South Dakota State is second with six selections.

    Linebacker Tye Niekamp from national runner-up Illinois State returns as a two-time postseason All-America first-teamer. Also back from the first team: Walter Payton-winning quarterback Beau Brungard (Youngstown State), wide receiver Marquis Buchanan (Rhode Island), offensive lineman Joshua Sales Jr. (Austin Peay), linebacker Joshua Stoneking (Furman), safety Abu Kamara (Yale), kick returner Ja’briel Mace (Villanova) and punt returner Bugs Mortimer (Stephen F. Austin).

    Additionally, UC Davis safety Rex Connors was on the 2024 postseason All-America first team, but he played in only four games last season due to injury.
