US President Donald Trump warned onSaturday that Washington would “destroy all areas of Iran” if Tehran attemptedto assassinate him.
“1000 Missiles are Locked and Loadedand aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands of more toimmediately follow,” Trump said, adding that orders had already been issued forthe US military to “completely decimate” the country if Tehran carried out orattempted the assassination.
On Thursday, The Wall Street Journalreported, citing people familiar with the matter, that Israel had sharedintelligence with the United States indicating Iran was preparing a new plot toassassinate Trump. Calls for his assassination allegedly resurfaced during the recentfuneral ceremonies for Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killedin US-Israeli strikes on Iran in late February.
