Ravichandran Ashwin’s stint in the Major League Cricket (MLC) comes to an end because of a knee injury that forced him to put himself out of the tournament.
Only after delivering a couple of overs in today’s match for the San Francisco Unicorns (SFU), the former India spinner picked up an injury on his right knee.

As Cricbuzz informed, the veteran spinner delivered a couple of overs before being ruled out of the tournament entirely. The franchise has named experienced Australian spinner Peter Siddle as a replacement.
Ravichandran Ashwin himself issued an official statement regarding the setback he suffered shortly after begining the new journey in his franchise crickte career. Sincie taking retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL),
“I’m disappointed to end the season early, but unfortunately this injury means that’s the right decision. I’ve truly loved my time with the San Francisco Unicorns and will be cheering the boys on for the rest of the tournament."
