Jay-Z is heading across the pond. Roc Nation announced on Tuesday (July 7) that a Hov concert to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt is slated for Sept. 4 at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tickets will be available via pre-sale starting on July 9 at 10 a.m. local time, with the general public getting their shot on July 10 at 10 a.m. local time.
The September show marks Jay’s first U.K. performance since he and Beyoncé took over London Stadium for a pair of dates in June 2018 as part of the On the Run II Tour. As far as solo shows go, the Brooklyn native hasn’t performed in London since headlining The O2 Arena on the Magna Carta World Tour in 2013.
First up for his career celebration, Jay-Z’s gearing up for a return to Yankee Stadium this weekend for a trio of highly anticipated sold-out shows from Friday (July 10) through Sunday (July 12). The July 10 show will pay homage to debut album Reasonable Doubt turning 30 on June 25, while Saturday’s show (July 11) celebrates 25 years of The Blueprint. Sunday’s “Extra Innings” theme remains a mystery in terms of his performance as of press time.
Reasonable Doubt arrived on June 25, 1996, and peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard 200. The Blueprint was released on Sept. 11, 2001, and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 427,000 albums sold, according to Luminate.
Following London’s Sept. 4 show, Hov will head to Paris for a date on Sept. 10 before returning to the West Coast for a SoFi Stadium performance in Los Angeles on Oct. 23.
