Coming to the match, India won the toss and opted to bat first. India made one change as Vaibhav came in for Sanju Samson. The latter has been in tough form in the last few innings, and thus the Men in Blue have gone away looking into the most in-form batter in T20 cricket at present.

Shreyas Iyer in the toss said, "We'll bat first again. We've got one change. Vaibhav comes in for Sanju. Absolutely... you've seen him in last few months, the way he's been batting. Not really. I feel that he completely deserves to be in the squad."
