Yeah, that’s the good stuff. Decribed beautifully in a way that I couldn’t have done myself. The NFL Blitz throw is a perfect comp for what WIlliams did. Frankly, I’m disappointed in myself for not thinking about it first. I loved NFL Blitz. And, sure, the Madden NFL video franchise will always be at the top of the charts. But there was nothing better than pulling off a miracle throw to beat one of your besties in NFL Blitz at an arcade.

And the more I think about it, the more I realize that Chicago’s football team has faced plenty of signal callers who have shown the ability to pull a rabbit out of their hat to claw back and deliver miracle throws. That the Bears finally have someone who can do it to other teams is fun. So while I’d prefer this team not need to resort to late-game heroics, I feel better knowing that its quarterback isn’t afraid of the moment.
