Millie Bobby Brown made sure to "mend" things with her Stranger Thingsco-stars as they wrapped up their decade-long journey together.
“I went into a little bit of a slight, slight depression,” the 22-year-old actress said of her emotions following the December 2025 finale of the Netflix series during a live recording of Happy Sad Confused at 92NY, as per Variety. “It was very hard for me. I would not have expected that coming off of the show. I’m a very happy-go-lucky person.”
Throughout the month of January, Brown said she made sure to reconnect with her Stranger Things co-stars and "mend" any unresolved issues to ensure their relationships would continue in spite of the series' end.
"They probably thought I was crazy," Brown said. "I was like, ‘We’re still friends, right? Like, you’re not gonna stop talking to me anymore?’ I was like, ‘I’m sorry if I ever upset you,’ and was just trying to mend anything. ‘It’s been 10 years, and I really want to be friends. You’re my sibling.’ And then I was on the beach, it was beautiful, and I just sat there crying. It was a very hard time for me."
"And no one will ever understand it," the Enola Holmes star continued. "I started the show when I was 10, and this character was me, and these people were in my life more than my own family. I saw these people more than going home and eating dinner with my family."
She added, "Saying goodbye to that after 10 years was a very, very emotional thing, and I’m going to miss Eleven more than anything."
While her time in Hawkins has come to an end, Brown did confirm that she and her on-screen father figure, David Harbour, would be working together on a project in the near future.
"Father-daughter is where we live, but Netflix will always be our home," she teased, calling the plans for the project "concrete."
"The David Harbour project is sooner than expected," she added with a smile. "And it’s David’s idea, so kudos to him."
