Brighton are in advanced talks to sign Juventus and Switzerland midfielder Lia Walti.
The former Arsenal star has a year remaining on her contract in Italy but is keen for a return to the Women’s Super League.
Switzerland captain Walti, 33, joined Juventus in September 2025 following a seven-year stay in north London.
She helped Arsenal win four major trophies during her time there, including the Champions League and WSL titles.
During her time in Italy, she has made 24 appearances as Juventus finished last season in third place.
Brighton are an ambitious club under manager Dario Vidosic and reached their first major final last season, losing to WSL champions Manchester City in the Women’s FA Cup.
The club have ambitions of breaking into the WSL’s top four and in April they announced plans to build Europe’s first purpose-built stadium for the women’s team next to the Amex.
