Edelboim, who has built and scaled artificial intelligence-powered software business, will accelerate innovation across the Candescent Intelligent Banking Platform, which is used by more than 1,300 banks and credit unions, the company said in a Sunday (June 22) press release.
“Jason is the right leader at the right moment,” Ramzi Musallam, CEO and managing partner of Veritas Capital, parent company of Candescent, said in the release. “Candescent has established itself as the leader in Intelligent Banking, and Jason’s proven ability to scale enterprise software and AI-enabled platforms positions the company to extend that lead.”
At iCIMS, Edelboim led the company’s transformation into an AI platform for talent acquisition. Before that, he served as president and chief operating officer of Dataminr, an AI platform for real-time event, threat and risk intelligence, according to the release.
“Banking is moving from digital to intelligent, and Candescent is at the forefront of this shift,” Edelboim said in the release. “The winners will be the institutions, and the platforms, that move with speed, trust and intelligence. I joined Candescent because it has the platform, scale and conviction to define this next era for banks and credit unions.”
Candescent was the digital banking unit of NCR Voyix until it was sold to Veritas Capital in September 2024, became a privately owned company and rebranded as Candescent.

Tansill became CEO of Candescent at that time after serving as president, digital banking at NCR Voyix from January 2024 through September 2024, according to his LinkedIn profile.
During April, Candescent launched an all-new mobile banking experience called Votiv, added new Intelligent Business Banking capabilities to the Candescent Intelligent Banking Platform, introduced new capabilities to its curated FinTech ecosystem called Candescent Marketplace, and launched a developer experience called Forge that helps financial institutions and FinTech partners build and scale on the Candescent Intelligent Banking Platform.
When announcing the launch of Forge, Candescent Vice President of Developer Experience Kranti Talluri said: “Over time, we believe building on the platform should help developers move from idea to working capability as naturally as they describe what they want to create.”
