Elgin police were investigating after a woman’s body was pulled from the Fox River on Sunday, authorities said.
At around 3:51 p.m., Elgin Police Department detectives located a body in the Fox River north of the Kimball Street Bridge, the department said in a news release. The Elgin Fire Department and Kane County Coroner’s Office also responded to the scene.
Police said information regarding the woman’s identity was being withheld pending a determination by the coroner’s office.
The investigation remained active as of late Sunday.
