Chicago police are investigating after three teens were shot during a large gathering in the Lawndale neighborhood Saturday night.
According to authorities, officers were responding to a large gathering in the 1400 block of South Christiana at approximately 11:30 p.m. Saturday when they heard multiple gunshots.
A large crowd gathered at the scene began to flee in different directions, and a 19-year-old man told officers that he had been shot in the groin and forearm, police said. Officers were able to apply a tourniquet to the victim, and he was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.
A short time later, a 19-year-old woman was transported to an area hospital for treatment for a gunshot wound to her buttocks. She was listed in good condition.
Police later found a third victim, an 18-year-old woman who was also shot in the buttocks. She was listed in good condition.
No suspects are currently in custody, and an investigation is underway.
