Cabrera has logged only 16 innings of 3.94 ERA ball for Reno, but for the 2026 season as a whole, he has a 3.69 ERA, 46.8% grounder rate, 26.8% strikeout rate, and 6.7% walk rate over 61 combined Double-A and Triple-A innings.
Neither Baseball America or MLB Pipeline regards Cabrera as a top-30 prospect in Arizona’s farm system, but he has done well enough in his brief Triple-A stint to merit this spot start in the majors. Brandon Pfaadt is expected to be called back up from Triple-A to take Soroka’s place in the rotation, but Pfaadt just started last night and is still getting built back up to a starter’s workload.
