“We understand pretty well where that is coming from, and we have a pretty good idea on where to fix it and how, but it will just take a few races from now,” he added.
“The good thing is that we know, and obviously, Barcelona is the greatest place to show you where you are lacking, so that was a positive for us.”
The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has long been regarded as one of Formula 1's most demanding testing grounds, exposing weaknesses in car balance, tyre management and overall efficiency.
For Cadillac, the lessons learned there may prove invaluable as development accelerates.
Austria upgrade sparks optimism

Perez believes the extensive data gathered from race weekends, combined with a relatively reliable car on his side of the garage, has given engineers a clearer understanding of what needs to change.
“It’s good information for the team. We just have to make sure that we are able to come out on top, and we are bringing a big package for Austria. I hope that will bring us into the midfield group,” he explained.
That statement may be the clearest indication yet that Cadillac sees Austria as a pivotal moment in its inaugural season.
Still, Perez is realistic about the scale of the challenge ahead. When asked whether the incoming package would completely eliminate the problems that surfaced in Spain, his answer was immediate.
“No. It will not solve it,” he made clear. “It will improve it though, and I think we are looking forward to…hopefully, Silverstone will be the place that we will resolve it.”
