    Father’s Day

Not unlike Mother’s Day, this is one of those occasions when every restaurant you know should have some sort of special going on. But here’s some particular goings-on that pinged our radar:

Car Show California will host a special Father’s Day show at Belmont Park (3146 Mission Blvd.) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Car owners of all makes and models are welcome to show off their wheels, with registration costing $30. If you prefer cruising on the water rather than on the road, you’ll have plenty of options: City Cruises, Flagship Cruises, The Gondola Company and Triton Charters will each have special excursions for the occasion. Elsewhere on the waterfront, the Maritime Museum of San Diego (1492 North Harbor Dr.) will have a free “on the water adventure” event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free (though you must register) and includes a complimentary craft beer. The Hilton San Diego Bayfront (1 Park Blvd.) will have both a $25 burger and beer lunch and $65 steak and bourbon options at its Hudson & Nash restaurant. While not connected to the NASCAR event, ARLO in Mission Valley (500 Hotel Circle N.) will have what it’s calling a “Talladega Nights” brunch from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
