Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Committee has announced the schedule for Special OJEE 2026, offering students an additional opportunity to gain admission to various professional courses in the state.
As per an official notification, the Special OJEE will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from July 13 to July 15, 2026. The examination is being organized to fill seats that remain vacant after the first round of counselling.
Admissions through the Special OJEE will be available for programmes such as B.Tech, Lateral Entry to Engineering (for Diploma and B.Sc. holders), B.Pharm, Basic B.Sc. Nursing, MBA, and MCA/M.Sc. Computer Science.
The online application process will commence on June 16 and continue until 11 PM on June 28. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the designated OJEE portals.
The committee has advised applicants to thoroughly read the Information Brochure available on the official website before applying. The brochure contains details related to eligibility criteria, examination pattern, syllabus, and other important instructions.
According to the notification, the syllabus for B.Tech aspirants will be identical to that of JEE Main 2026. Candidates seeking admission to other courses will have to appear based on the regular OJEE 2026 syllabus.
The OJEE Committee has clarified that candidates who have already qualified JEE Main 2026 for B.Tech admissions or obtained a rank in the regular OJEE 2026 for other programmes are not required to appear in the Special OJEE.
Candidates from outside Odisha are also eligible to apply. However, they will be considered only for admissions to private institutions, while seats in government colleges will remain reserved for Odisha candidates.
The ranks secured in the Special OJEE will be utilized solely for filling vacant seats after the completion of the first round of counselling.
The committee has urged eligible candidates to complete the registration process well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute inconvenience.
