6th of October Bridge partially closes for asphalt improvement work

The Giza Governorate announced on Friday that a partial, alternating closure of several sections of 6th of October Bridge will be implemented over two days as part of development work to upgrade the bridge’s surface asphalt layer in both directions.

The governorate explained that the work will be carried out in two phases.

    The first phase will take place on Friday, June 12, on the section from the Ahmed Abdel-Aziz Bridge to the top of the Nile within Giza Governorate, from one am to 10:00 am. The second phase will take place on Saturday, June 13 on the road leading from the top of the Nile towards the exit of Ahmed Abdel-Aziz, from one am to eight am.

    Governorate officials confirmed that the Giza Traffic Department has coordinated with the implementing company to install the necessary directional, warning, and traffic signs, as well as floodlights and flashing lights, around the entire work area to ensure the safety of citizens.

    Traffic services will also be deployed to facilitate traffic flow.

    Governorate officials further urged drivers to adhere to the directional signs to ensure their safety and maintain smooth traffic flow during the construction period.
