2026 AUSTRALIAN SWIMMING TRIALS
Monday, June 8 – Saturday, June 13, 2026 Sydney, Australia Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre LCM (50 meters) Meet Central Commonwealth Selection Criteria Pan Pac Selection Criteria Psych Sheets Live Results Live Stream Storylines To Watch Live Recaps: Prelims: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 Finals: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3We are more than halfway through the 2026 Australian Swimming Trials, and there are currently nine men and 11 women who have earned priority one nominations for the 2026 summer international meets.
On Thursday, four athletes got added to the priority one spots, Elizabeth Dekkers, Brittany Castelluzzo, and Molly Walker on the women’s side and Kyle Chalmers on the men’s.
Chalmers, like McEvoy, has reportedly chosen not to race at the Pan Pacific Championships, opting for the Commonwealth Games instead. Like McEvoy, he is still listed on both because he has still technically earned a roster spot on both.
On the women’s side, Dekkers earned her first priority qualification of the meet, setting a new All Comers record in the 200 fly at 2:04.95, winning the event and earning an automatic spot on both teams this summer. Castelluzzo also earned a priority one qualification in the event, finishing 2nd under the qualifying time with her 2:06.95.
In the 800 freestyle, Molly Walker finished 2nd behind Lani Pallister in the qualifying time. She will officially lock up her spots for the meet, after she was sitting as a priority three designation for Pan-Pacs, since she finished 3rd but still came in under the SA qualifying time in the 400 free.
As a reminder some athletes earned individual qualifications in additional events. We have athletes listed under their highest priority qualification with all events under any priority listed next to them.
In other news, Mackenzie Burns won the 50 fly swim-off during prelims between her and Claudia Fydler, who were tied as Priority 3 swimmers for the Commonwealth Games. This makes her the lone priority three swimmer in the women’s 50 fly.
There were also a number of men’s swimmers added to the priority two selections courtesy of the 100 freestyle. The Pan-Pacs selection document states that any athlete who finishes in the top-eight “may” be selected to the roster, and the Commonwealth document states any athlete in the top-four.
