EastEnders airs love triangle implosion and dramatic showdown over Jordan in early BBC iPlayer release

The drama doesn't stop in Albert Square, with EastEnders' latest love triangle finally being exposed.

Earlier this week, Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) spotted grandson Josh Goodwin (Joshua Vaughan) in a passionate embrace with Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier), the boyfriend of his twin sister Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness).

However, in today's episode, it wasn't Kat who decided to come clean about what's been going on.

Oscar and Josh have attempting to resist temptation for months, and after succumbing to their desires, were both left guilt-ridden. This was only intensified when Kat marched over to the Fox-Trueman household to challenge Josh about what she saw.

She'd originally turned up to invite him to a 20th birthday meal in his and Jasmine's honour, but now wanted to ensure that he wouldn't ruin the big day.

Kat dragged a hiding Oscar from behind the curtain, and insisted that they eventually come clean – but keep quiet for Jasmine and birth mum Zoe Slater's (Michelle Ryan) sake. She also told Oscar that he wouldn't be welcome.

Later that day, he awkwardly tried to explain to Jasmine that he couldn't attend the meal, saying that he believed it would be more of a family affair and that he would be intruding. She was clearly upset by his reasoning, and an unaware Zoe made it her mission to get him a seat at the table.

The atmosphere turned cold when he strolled into the Queen Vic living room, and perched on a chair between Kat and Jasmine.

An emotional Josh rushed off to the kitchen when Oscar and Jasmine locked lips, and felt sickened when she presented him with a handmade bracelet.

He knew it was time to tell her the truth, and after interrupting the Slater family's rendition of "Happy Birthday", announced that Oscar had been cheating on her – with him!

Meanwhile, over at Walford General, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) attempted to extend an olive branch towards Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams).

She hasn't left the wards since Ian accidentally hit her son Jordan (Jahsaiah Williams) with his car, and has had to have life-changing spinal surgery.

When he awoke today, he told her that his legs "felt funny", and she began to wonder whether he'd ever walk again. Overcome with emotion, she rushed into the corridor and saw Ian holding a teddybear and a box of chocolates.

An explosive argument broke out as she tore strips off the councillor, but when her anger turned to tears, she fell into Ian's arms.

The two shared a heart-to-heart, and as Ian pleaded for forgiveness, Chelsea admitted that she was partly responsible for what had happened. She'd ordered Jordan to leave her alone while she tried to pursue a romance with Zack Hudson (James Farrar), and if she'd shown him some attention, it may never have happened.

Will this breakthrough help Ian's case?
