As Crumbl continues to evolve its menu, the bakery chain is introducing its own take on a dessert that has taken the internet by storm: dot cakes.
Although it might seem like dot cakes have gained popularity overnight, Paradepreviously reported that the dessert traces back to The Dotcakes, a Long Island bakery founded by mother-daughter duo Alex and Sondra Posner. After creating sprinkle-covered cakes in 2017, the project eventually grew into a full business.
After partnering with Butterfield Market in New York City, the cakes went viral. Now, Crumbl is putting its twist on it.
“Meet the Dot Cake Cookie,” Crumbl posted on Instagram. “A cakey vanilla sugar cookie swirled with vanilla cream cheese frosting and fully dipped in rainbow dot sprinkles for a satisfying crunch.”

The cookie has been introduced alongside three other new flavors, including a Soccer Field Dubai-Style Cheesecake, Tangy Mango Cookie Ft. Tajín, and Blue Raspberry Sports Drink Cookie.
