View this post on InstagramAnd the Southern California theme park destination has revealed what’s in store. The festivities officially kick off on Aug. 21 and bring to the park the sights, sounds and flavors of the season with spellbinding eats, ride overlays and much more.
Family-friendly entertainment, seasonal décor and limited-time experiences will blend cultural traditions and Halloween fun. And the fan-favorite, Oogie Boogie Bash — A Disney Halloween Party, will take over Disney California Adventure Park on select evenings.

The bewitching hour is upon us. Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort returns, running Aug. 31 through Oct. 31. The resort-wide celebration, included in regular park admission, sees the addition of festive décor, limited-time entertainment, themed versions of attractions and more. Mickey and Minnie Mouse, along with their pals, will also debut new Halloween attire in Town Square. Limited time entertainment also returns, including daytime show “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” and nighttime spectacular “Halloween Screams.” The resort will reawaken with spooky décor additions, including the giant Mickey Mouse pumpkin and the Main Street Pumpkin Festival.
Fan favorite attraction Haunted Mansion Holiday, a seasonal overlay of the Haunted Mansion themed to Tim Burton’s “The Night Before Christmas,” returns with Jack Skellington, Zero and a newly designed gingerbread house. Other attraction overlays include Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Guardians of the Galaxy — Monsters After Dark. Adorably themed merchandise will be available, including the Mickey Mouse Family Halloween and Cutie Ghost collections.
And expect frightfully delicious eats across the resort, like the Heatwave Pizza from Alien Pizza Planet. Treats also extend to the resorts with the highly anticipated return of the seasonal confectionery display and Great Hall Cart at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Limited-time character dining experiences can also be found at the hotels, including Mickey’s Autumn Adventures Breakfast Buffet and Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner at Storytellers Café and Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates Halloween.

Guests can enhance their visit with add-ons available for an additional fee, including Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, a themed scavenger hunt, and Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour, a private guided tour across Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
Plaza de la Familia
Honoring Dia de los Muertos with inspiration from Pixar’s “Coco,” the beloved Plaza de la Familia returns to Disney California Adventure Park, running Aug. 21 through Nov. 2. Celebrating the eternal bonds of a family, the festival adds vibrant décor, activities and festive entertainment. Entertainment is a cornerstone, including the return of “The Storytellers of the Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco!,” a spirited street show featuring beloved tunes from the Pixar film alongside classic Mexican songs.
Other offerings including themed eats, like the return of favorite chilaquiles carnitas torta, a new “Coco”-inspired merchandise line and a stunning Dia de los Muertos installation in Disneyland Park’s Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante.

Fan-favorite Oogie Boogie Bash—A Disney Halloween Party makes its triumphant return to Disney California Adventure Park on select evenings from Aug. 18 through Oct. 31. The separately ticketed event is an after hours party like no other, with exclusive bites, limited-time character experiences, including immersive treat trails with rare Disney Villains and appearances by Ichabod Crane and the sinister Headless Horseman. New this year, “Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake—A Haunted Mansion Street Party” will bring “ghoushlishly good times” inspired by the beloved attraction. Villains Grove, a unique immersive walk-through experience inspired by the most iconic villains, will also mark its return in Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.
The event will be offered for 33 nights this year and tickets go on sale June 18, with a limited number of pre-sale opportunities available to Inspire Magic Key holders on June 16 and all Magic Key holders on June 17. Tickets include pre-party mix-in, access to select attractions with shorter wait times and unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads. For a premium experience, the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party returns, for an additional fee, and includes preferred seating for the new Madame Leota-themed show.
