You can't make a great romcom without including an excellent soundtrack – and new release Finding Emily well and truly delivers on that front.
The Manchester-set film – which stars Angourie Rice and Spike Fearn – was released in UK cinemas last weekend and has has been met with acclaim from critics, with its score on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes still sitting at a perfect 100% after 24 reviews (including a 4-star verdict from Radio Times.)
The music featured includes everything from tracks by Stockport-based indie rockers Blossoms and local synth-pop band WH Lung to hits from pop superstars like Chappel Roan and Billie Eilish to the iconic track Blue Monday by one of Manchester's most legendary bands, New Order.
Meanwhile, the film also has an original score penned by Morgan Kibby.
