IPL Points Table 2026: Updated Standings, Orange Cap, Purple Cap After KKR vs DC Match 70

In the final group match of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) played Delhi Capitals (DC) in a dead rubber game, as the Knights were knocked out with Rajasthan Royals winning the earlier game, and qualified for the playoffs. Axar Patel???s side finished off the campaign on a high, winning the game by 40 runs.

In the reverse fixture between the KKR vs DC, Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and elected to field first. They played the same team from their last match win, DC made a couple of changes, bringing in Kuldeep Yadav and Auqib Nabi in the side. With both sides being eliminated, this was a match of finishing high at the end of the tournament.

After being asked to bat first, Abishek Porel, the local boy, started well with KL Rahul, as the Southpaw had a life but went back for 22 runs, once again failing to convert his start into a big score. Then Rahul took charge along with youngster Sahil Parakh, who had a good start and was dismissed by Sunil Narine on 24 runs.

KL Rahul continued the run flow, but he was unlucky as he was dismissed on 60 off 30 deliveries. Axar Patel also played a handy knock of 39 runs, and a small knock from David Miller of 28 runs helped the Capitals to post 203/5 in their 20 overs.

Coming out to chase, KKR openers Finn Allen and Ajinkya Rahane were off to a breezy start. The Kiwi opener once again got the start and could not convert into a big score, and was back for 20 off 13 deliveries. Then Manish Pandey and Rahane kept the runs ticking as the former was back after a small innings of 25 runs.

Ajinkya Rahane brought his fifty in 31 balls, the skipper was back scoring 63 runs, and then there was a collapse of losing 3 wickets in the span of one run. KKR were bowled out for the score of 163. From 127/3 to 163/10, all out and could not complete 20 overs as they lost 7 wickets in the span of 36 runs.
