Deana Rae Legassie, age 61, of Pleasant Shade, TN died on May 2, 2026.

Deana Rae Legassie, born Dec 1964 Muskegon MI served 9 years 8 months US Navy as radioman mainly in European theater. Honorably discharged Dec 1996 Northfolk VA. Had worked at Shiroki N.A. until cancer retired her.

    Her biggest joy was her family. She embraced her time with her daughters and the adventures they went on making beautiful and funny memories. Another joy was precious time and adventures with friends. Predeceased by mother, Nancy Lee McCune from complications of MS, father James Ellensworth Lumley from complications if COPD, sister Norah May, nephew Cory May and her special aunt and Godmother Patsy Lou Warren. Surviving her are daughters Virginia (Justin) of Castalian Springs TN, Madalyn (Bradley) of Goodlettsville TN, and Lucinda (Zach) of Charlotte TN. Sisters, Claire Dove, Danna Pittman, Paula Sherwood, Joy. Her Aunts Ruth and Nyla and special uncle George Warren. Numerous cousins but a few that held a special place in her heart, Emily (Jerald) Magoon, Amy (Robert) Looney, Sarah (Rob) Loman. Numerous nieces and nephews and dear to heart grandsons, Kolten Harris and Easton Seibers. Deana loved animals and was known to have the soft heart of the hollow and stray and castoffs often found their way to her home. Deana was known for her stubborn, don’t give up spirit. She vowed cancer would not take over and become her life. When asked how she was doing she would say there’s been worse days. Her message was to be positive and look for the good and beautiful in life God provided. Embrace each moment with family and friends and communicate with God. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
