In recognition of Veterans Day, South College will offer free dental services for military veterans on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the Dental Clinic on the Nashville campus in partnership with the Tennessee Titans.
The public clinic, located at 616 Marriott Drive, will serve military veterans from 8 a.m.-noon and 1-4:30 p.m.
Free services will include dental cleaning, X-rays, fluoride treatment and preventive care.
“Veterans are the backbone of our country and deserve our appreciation and support,” said Nick South, president of South College’s Nashville campus. “By holding this event on Veterans Day, we can give back in a small way with the gift of dental care. Veterans also are welcome year-round at the South College Dental Clinic.”
Appointments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Veterans are encouraged to reserve an appointment by Nov. 10 by calling 629-802-3221. Walk-ins also are welcome, though as available. If appointments fill up or a veteran is unavailable on Nov. 11, South College will extend the free services to veterans on other dates that fit their schedules.
Tennessee Titans cheerleaders will also visit the clinic at 10 a.m. to surprise patients and demonstrate their support.
The South College Nashville Dental Clinic offers various routine and specialized dental services to the community, including children’s services. Students provide hands-on care under the supervision of licensed Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) professionals.
