Lithuanian swimmer Kristupas Trepocka, who qualified for the 2025 World Aquatics Championships, is headed stateside to swim for Arizona State University beginning in the fall of 2026.
Originally from Panevezys, Lithuania, Trepocka currently trains year-round with Panevėžys Žemyna-Sports Gymnasium and Lithuanian Aquatics in Vilnius, where he primarily specializes in free and fly.
Trepocka posted a series of top performances at the 2025 Akvile Lithuanian Swimming Championships (LCM) last April, turning in four new lifetime best times, most of which still stand today. He snagged the runner-up spot in the 200 free (1:47.72) and 400 free (3:53.25) and placed 3rd in the 100 free (49.74), setting a personal best time in each event. He also placed 8th in the 50 free (23.52) after posting a best time of 23.22 during prelims and was a part of the gold medal-winning 400 free relay, anchoring in 47.30.
At the 2025 World Aquatics Championships (LCM) over the summer, Trepocka further improved his time in the 400 free. He finished 30th in a lifetime best time of 3:51.34, in addition to helping Lithuania to an 11th-place finish in the 800 free relay.
Trepocka turned in a handful of strong performances at the 2025 European Aquatics Championships (SCM) in December. He placed 17th in the 200 free (1:43.24) and 25th in the 400 free (3:43.56), setting personal best times in both races.
A few weeks later, Trepocka logged another series of top swims at the 2025 Lithuania Open Championships (SCM). He won the 50 fly (22.99 – PB) and took 3rd in the 100 free (47.30 – PB), 200 free (1:43.98) and 400 free (3:47.07).

Based on the results from the 2026 Big 12 Conference Championships in February, Trepocka would have landed in the ‘A’ final in the 100 free, 200 free and 500 free with his projected converted times, setting him up to be a key contributor right from the start. With some of the Sun Devils top freestylers, such as Remi Fabiani and Jonny Kulow, having graduated this spring, Trepocka will help fill the gaps left behind in their absence.
The full list of recruits set to join Trepocka in Tempe this fall include Sergio de Celis Montalban, Max Smirnov, Parker Deshayes, Day Chambers, Ethan Linville, Oliver Munn, Jake Lloyd, Tyler Porter, Ian Disosway, Dillon Albertyn, Onur Oksuz, London Rising, Brennen Oneil, Jack Culberson, Henry Lyness, Kuba Shaw, Daniel Marinov and Ali Sayed, who should all make for strong training partners over the next four years.
