After years of speculation, a new T20 league has sprung up in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Arabian cricket federation has announced that the new league will be titled the Dunes T20 league.
Over the past few years, the Saudi Arabian Sports Fund has invested in many other sports like football, F1, and even combat sports like MMA, Wrestling, and KickBoxing.
There were a lot of murmurs over the years about a new cricket league being launched in the country, but they have come to fruition only now.
In an official statement posted to their X account, the Dunes T20 League said that former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh had been signed on as League Ambassador.
The new league is set to be run in a partnership between the South Asian Network Ltd., the Unique Sports Group, the Prolithic Talent Agency, and the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation.
The statement said that the league is set to be launched in October 2026 as a six-team tournament.

Dunes T20 League offers an official statement
In their official statement, the league said that legends of the game were set to be involved and that the league was launched with the idea of growing the game in the region.
