I rejected the idea that I was mentally ill and didn’t listen to people when they advised me to seek psychological treatment. Now I want to tell them, ‘You were right. I will begin my journey of psychological treatment.'”
The incident unfolded when Fouad claimed to have cancer and collected donations from her social media followers to cover her treatment costs.
Medical tests confirmed she was healthy and did not have the disease. Some donors have begun taking legal action against her after being victims of online fraud.
