YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown State University has named Omer Genc, associate professor of management and marketing in the Williamson College of Business Administration, as the Lariccia Family Endowed Professor, recognizing his work advancing experiential learning, applied research and regional business engagement.
Genc is just the third professor to earn this recognition since it was established by the Youngstown State University Foundation in 2016.
Endowed professorships are among the university’s highest faculty honors and are awarded to professors whose teaching, research and service demonstrate both excellence and continued potential for impact, according to a news release from YSU. Genc’s work focuses on international business and strategic management, with an emphasis on helping students and regional companies navigate global markets and evolving economic conditions.
