Tennessee and Michigan State have reportedly agreed to a home and home series that will feature a game between the Spartans and Vols in Knoxville next season.
An exact date for this year’s game has not been announced, nor has the date been announced for Knoxville’s trip up to East Lansing, according to Volquest’s Mike Wilson. This will be the first matchup between Tennessee and Michigan State since the Spartans downed the Volunteers in the Elite Eight in 2010.

Tennessee, on the other hand, has put together one of the best transfer classes in the country. The Vols return only DeWayne Brown and Troy Henderson, but have so far brought in Dai Dai Ames, Terrence Hill, Jalen Haralson, Miles Rubin and a few more transfers to supplement the roster. Wake Forest transfer Juke Harris is a major target for the Volunteers moving forward, too.
Tennessee’s non-conference slate is beginning to take shape. The Vols will now face Michigan State in Knoxville and Purdue in West Lafayette. The Vols also have a neutral site matchup against NC State in Nashville and will play 3 games in the Player’s Era Tournament in Las Vegas.
