Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
Rutgers University has landed a pair of commitments from Adele Miksa (North York, Ontario) and Sophie Koroma (Hyattsville, Maryland) as members of the Scarlet Knights’ 2026 recruiting class.
Miksa, a sprint freestyler from North York Aquatic Club, swam both of her long-course bests in 2023. Her 50 free came at the Speedo Eastern Canadian Championships in 26.65, and her 100 free came about two weeks earlier at the Ontario Winter Championships, where she clocked 58.41.
Her fastest short-course 200 free also came some time ago, having clocked a 2:09.58 at the Murray Drudge Invitational in December of 2022.
Miksa holds some speed in other strokes, including butterfly long-course bests of 28.82 and 1:05.62, and a best long-course 50 back time of 31.46 from the MAC Invitational in January of this year.
Miksa wrote the following regarding her commitment:
I’m thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to Rutgers University to continue my academic and athletic career. I want to thank my family, my coaches, and the people that have stuck by me through it all, I couldn’t have done it without you. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for my future as a scarlet knight, GO SCARLET KNIGHTS!

Miksa and Koroma join Mia Boccio, Alexis Mesina, Madelyn Cassidy, Grace Sorensen, and Journei Webster in Rutgers’ 2026 recruiting class.
