After a delightful return to Westeros earlier this year in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, fans appetites' were well and truly whetted for more. Now, finally, it's on its way.
That's because the other ongoing Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon, is set to release its third season this summer, with the exact release date having finally been confirmed.
As well as showing us some of the fiery, brutal action that season 3 will have in store, the trailer also confirmed its release date as 22 June.

View oEmbed on the source websiteThe new trailer sees Matt Smith's Daemon plotting an everlasting Targaryen reign, telling Emma D'Arcy's Rhaenyra: "You now have a power no man has ever wielded. You will have an empire unassailable, Rhaenyra, and our children will rule it for forever and a day."
Meanwhile, Aegon (Tom Glynn Carney) is out for revenge against his brother Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) and, as swords clash, we finally get a glimpse of the all-out war we've been waiting so long for.
"There will be no doubt who the gods have chosen to rule," Rhaenyra says, as she makes it clear she will stop at nothing to ensure her house's survival.
Showrunner Ryan Condal previously teased that this new instalment of the show will be about "total war", after season 2 was about "the fits and starts of an early medieval war".
As well as Smith, Cooke and Frankel, the new run will also see returns for key cast members including Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Sonoya Mizuno, Tom Glynn-Carney and Ewan Mitchell.
Meanwhile, James Norton will be joining the cast as Lord Ormund Hightower, while it's also been confirmed that we're set to meet Daeron Targaryen, Aegon and Aemond's brother.
