2026 NCAA qualifier Alexey Glivinsky has entered the transfer portal. Glivinsky arrived at Texas this spring after flipping his commitment from Michigan to Texas and has three years of eligibility remaining.
Glivinsky originally committed to Michigan but delayed his arrival to the spring semester due to military commitments. In the fall, he then switched his commitment to Texas. Earlier this week, Michigan freshman Luka Mladenovic announced he would transfer to Texas.
He competing in six meets for the Longhorns and had a huge 1:32.23 at the Ohio State Invite which punched his ticket to the 2026 NCAA Championships. He swam a 1:33.66 in the event at the 2026 SEC Championships for 17th and also was 15th in the 100 free (42.56) and 29th in the 200 fly (1:45.74).
He went on to swim the 100 free and 200 free at NCAAs, swimming a 42.18 for 32nd in the 100 and a 1:32.49 in the 200 free for 26th. It took a 1:31.62 to score in the 200 free and a 41.56 to score in the 100 free. He was not a member of the Longhorn relays.

100 free: 41.86 200 free: 1:32.23 200 IM: 1:43.29 200 fly: 1:45.23Glivinsky represented Israel at the 2024 Olympics, swimming on the men’s 4×200 free relay. He also swam at the 2025 World Championships, finishing 14th in the 200 IM (1:59.41), 23rd in the 200 free, and swimming on Israel’s 4×200 free relay that was 8th as well as their 4×100 free relay that was 12th.
The NCAA transfer portal closes today for women and next Friday, May 1st for men. Some exceptions to this window include a change in head coach, if a program is cut, and graduate transfers.
