Chicago police are searching for a missing 16-year-old, with family and friends saying she was last seen Monday morning heading to school.
According to CPD, Joy Akhigbe, is 5’5”, 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, and may be in need of medical attention.
Family and friends say Akhigbe, a student at De La Salle Institute in Chicago, was last seen about 7:30 a.m. Monday leaving for school. Akhigbe is a volleyball and track athlete at the school, family said, with no confirmed contact with anyone since she left.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the CPD Area Three Special Victim’s Office at 312-744-8266 or call 911.
